Our Ohio State Fair Trip

We went to the Ohio State Fair last week which is one of my favorite things to do in the summer.  It was a perfect night, in fact, it had just stopped pouring rain so it was a comfortable 70 degrees and was a bit cloudy.  Addie was all about eating junk foods and cruising around in her stroller.  Our first stop, after some corndogs and french fries, was the pig races.

Addie's shoving fries in her mouth at this point.  The announcer is doing intros to the races and all the little kids are screaming and clapping.  Addie didn't know why they were clapping but she was happy to clap along excitedly.

We had just missed the little piggies and pulled up just in time to see the pot belly pigs.

These guys had to take a stop to eat along the way.

Next stop was the petting zoo.

Addie love it.  Those poor goats.  She'd smack them on the head to pet them.

They didn't mind as long as she was feeding them carrots.

This crazy lady was brave enough to let that crazy looking beak peck a carrot out of her hand.

I loved these guys.  The poof of bangs on top of their head was so soft.

This guy kept choking himself to get to our hands.

Forgive my crazy hair.  I cut it too short and the humidity kicked up later in the night leaving my hair even shorter.

Next stop was Addie's first ride.  We weren't really sure if she could even ride it since my little monkey stands a tall 31 inches and height requirements were 30 inches.  She barely made it.

She wasn't really sure why we put her in the car or what was about to happen.

So she started messing with the buttons and lights on the car.

Then the car started moving and she really wasn't sure what was going on.

I love this picture, her face still has ketchup all over it.

She is so cute.  This was her reaction the entire time on the ride.  Blank.  Nothing, no smile, no crying.  Just taking it all in.  She did really well considering we kept her up past her bedtime.  She did pass out as soon as we put her in her carseat and slept until the next morning.
