Two Premieres, One Night
Today is one day I look forward to all year long. Followed by my beloved Thanksgiving feast and will now be followed by baby girls birthday. Two things happen today to make my night even better and it's just a coincidence they happen on the same day.
First, Lifetimes "One Born Every Minute" starts again. I particularly loves this show because I watched it while on leave after giving birth to Adalyn and could relate. I could really relate because it's the same hospital I delivered at and I recognized a lot of the doctors and nurses. Make sure to check it out tonight.
So that's not the big event. The long awaited, huge event in my television watching life is...
Wait for it...
The 20-11 (yes a space is needed there for dramatic effects) Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!!!!
(cue the angels singing)
Love, love, love the energy of this show and would die to see this in person. Here are a few shots from what you'll see tonight.

Christmas Cheer Blog Party - Christmas Craft
Today's the first day of the fabulous Christmas Cheer link party. You'll see me posting about various Christmas projects over the next week. I'm linking up today with Cassie over at Hi Sugarplum! Make sure to join the fun over the next week.
So here's my craft. Let me tell you, I kept this one super simple and even better, very cheap. I've wanted to change up my traditional Christmas mantle and knew I wanted something sparkly. Our Christmas tree is decorated in mostly blues ans silvers but I wanted to add a touch of gold to make it look a bit more fancy. I was perusing the aisles of JoAnn's last week and wanted to find something sparkly gold with some height. I found some various floral sprays as they call them.
A couple in white, some blue and my favorite was the gold. I may be running back to the store to purchase another handful of the gold sprays. Each were originally $1.99 but they were having a sale so I got each for 50% off. I grabbed a total of 8 sprays (2 white, 2 white w/ blue, 4 gold), if you're adding this up were at $7.96.
I wanted to find a nice Christmasy or white vase to put them in and I just hadn't had the time to find what I was searching for. Solution: a clear flower vase I had under the sink.

Weekend Review
Welcome back everyone! It was nice to enjoy a few days off with the family. Here's how our weekend looked:
Thursday
We drove up to my parents house Thursday morning for Thanksgiving lunch at 1. My parents had a full spread of food that I didn't hesitate to gorge myself on. Turkey, ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes, mashed potatoes, homemade bread, creamed corn, and pumpkin pie! The only thing missing was homemade noodles. This is my favorite part of Thanksgiving so I was thoroughly disappointed this wasn't at the dinner table. After spending time with my family we drove over to Rick's parents for more food and loads more desserts with his extended family. This was Addie's first holiday with the large family. She was little overwhelmed by the hundred or so family members all chatting loudly. Here a few photos from the day.
Friday
We did some shopping for Christmas gifts though we didn't get up early to find any great deals. I was able to purchase a couple items though I'm no where near close to done.
Saturday
Watched the Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry game. Unfortunately we were not successful and lost, however it was the first lose to them in 8 years. We have also been through a tough year so Michigan shouldn't expect a repeat performance next year. Especially with today's announcement of Urban Meyer accepting the head coach position!
Sunday
We put up our Christmas tree and some decorations. I have still have a few more things to do until it's finished so more to come on those details in the next few days.
How was your Thanksgiving? Did you gain a lot of weight? I'm too afraid to approach the scale!
