I always wanted to cloth diaper and after nearly two and a half years of diapers, I'm even more for it. The number of diapers we've went through in that amount of time nears 5,000 diapers! We chose the Sunshine Yellow original diaper. The original diaper are a pocket style diaper with an opening at the back to insert the soaker to use. The diaper is $7.75 so it's super affordable. A newbie needs about 12 diapers a day so you'll want to purchase about 18 just in case. Add that up and you'll spend about $140 in cloth diapers. Compare that to the monthly cost of disposables which comes to about $50 and you'll easily pay for your purchase in a matter of months.
